Home Security - Protect Your Properties with Property Marking

Ultra violet technology is used in security products to protect property. With the use of an ultra violet pen, property is marked with a specific sign, number or code. That mark is called an ultra violet mark, however, the mark will not be visible in normal light, but will glow when an ultra violet light is shed on it from an ultraviolet lamp. The mark does not damage property in any way. This technology is used to mark property at home, school, office, on boats, and recreational vehicles. In case of a theft, once the goods are recovered you can confidently claim them.

Any personal property can be marked with ultra violet pens. It is ideal for marking and identifying: PCs, Servers, Kitchen Appliances, Mobile Phones, Lap-Top Computers, Home and Office Equipment, Audio Systems, TV and Accessories, Vehicles and their parts, Cycles and Motorcycles, General Household Valuables, Gardening Equipment, Leisure and Sports Equipment.

UV lamps are available in both portable and stationary models. Ultra violet lamps can detect fake currency, mechanical and chemical erasures.

Ultra violet pens are used to mark property with an ultraviolet mark. Ultra violet pens can be used on surfaces like wood, plastic, metal, glass, cloth, and paper to write and mark. It is advisable to mark property every two years as the ultra violet marks may fade with exposure to sun light or by washing. In addition, ultra violet marks should be put in places where it has the least human contact or contact with other things. This again prevents faster fading. The best way to mark properties with an ultra violet pen is to write the driving license number or first two initials of the name or other special code that you would like to use.

The best use of ultra violet marking is when certain item that is marked with ultra violet pen goes in for repairs, if switching of the item occurs it can be easily detected. Recovery of goods after theft becomes possible and the job of police officers becomes easier in identifying your goods.

Ultra violet lamps can be found that use either batteries or electricity. You can find ultra violet lamps and pen sold together in one kit or separately according to your preferences. There are some ultra violet pens that promise life long marking, but eventually the markings will begin to fade. It is advisable to mark property periodically to ensure that the mark is visible and clearly legible when exposed to ultra violet light.

Home Security At Holiday Time

Before departing for your much earned holiday be wise and review your home security. The latest figures from the FBI show a burglary occurs every 15.4 seconds, the majority of these take place when the householder is not home.

A great number of these burglaries could be prevented by beefing up your home security.

The installation of a burglar alarm and surveillance cameras is one of the most common and effective ways to improve security instantly. But the installation of these devices does not guarantee you immunity, other steps and precautions need to taken to improve you overall security.

Some of the less expensive options available include installing motion sensor lighting around the perimeter of your home.

As well as the external security there is a great deal that can be done inside the home to improve security. Check all locks on doors and windows replace any defective locks.

Patio sliding doors offer the opportunist thief just what they are looking for easy access , the reason is usually poor maintenance or security (broken lock) don?t get caught out this way thinking it will never happen, it does and it will.

Take these steps to make your sliding door even more secure consider installing a blocking device such as a ?Charlie bar? or some other type of track blocker to prevent the door from sliding open. At the very least you should block the track with a steel rod or wooden dowel to prevent any movement.

Where possible use a home safe to store any valuables include such items as keys to outbuildings, garages, other vehicles and any other device that requires a key.

You should also hide any personal documents and identity information in your home safe as well. If you don?t have a home safe consider using a post office vault especially if you live in a high crime area.

Giving the impression someone is at home is a great way to dissuade a burglar and is key to improving home security. This can be achieved by using timers in various rooms to switch lights an appliances off and on at differing times of the day. Be smart though and apply this tactic to more than one room in your house.

Other security measures include stopping your mail and paper deliveries. If you have two vehicles leave one parked on your driveway or ask a neighbor to park in your driveway whilst you are away.

Leave a key with a trusted neighbor or relative and ask them to check your home periodically. Switch off any answering machine don?t be tempted to leave a message saying you are on vacation. Ensure all outbuildings are secure, making sure any tools in your garage that could be used to gain access are under lock and key.

No matter what steps and security measures you take your home will never be 100% secure. But the harder you make it for a burglar to gain entry the stronger your home security will be.

HARRY BELAFONTE: DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY (D.H.S.) AKIN TO NAZI S.S.

Excerpts: To wit, two once-Communist "head hunters": Yevgeni Primakov, ex-K.G.B. boss; and Marcus Wolf, ex-East German Secret Police [S.T.A.S.S.I.] Chief, are working in the employ of Michael Chertoff, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (D.H.S.). This is possible due to Executive Order #12919 signed by Bill Clinton on June 4, 1994, allowing "experts" to be hired to run the country in times of "emergency". However, they did not tell you they would hire foreigners, nor that "full time federal employees" would not be eligible for these federal "emergency" positions. Why? Federal employees take an oath to the Constitution and thus would not perform properly in such treasonous activities. Wake up Americans.

**F.E.M.A. (Federal Emergency Management Agency) is about 10 percent "Flood and Mud". The other 90% of their funding goes to "black operations"; not for "disaster relief". This is why they could not respond to Katrina; nor will they be able to respond to any major disaster. Their funds have been spent behind the scenes for "Kontrol" of the American people: To include the termination of "certain groups of people". Prophetically, F.E.M.A.'s treasonous activities are about to be found out when weather-related disasters soon strike the U.S.A. The Congress, which voted the "blank check" money over the last 20 years, will soon realize untold billions were spent for something besides disaster relief for you and me. Are you "smelling the coffee" yet?

Harry Belafonte has figured something out which you have not. I am not a great fan of Harry Belafonte as he is somewhat "liberal". However, his recent statements about the Department of Homeland Security (D.H.S.) are correct.

As a retired Joint Chiefs of Staff Action Officer who has done extensive research in the operations of the **Federal Emergency Management Agency (F.E.M.A.) over the past 14 years, I can assure you that Belafonte's remarks are valid.

Moreover, behind the "scenes" daily presented by N.B.C., C.N.N., A.B.C., A.P., ad nauseam (which feed us with cleverly propagated lies), F.E.M.A. and the D.H.S. are working hand in hand with the "shadow government" to destroy our "life, iberty and the pursuit of happiness". Taking those rights/hopes is the covert plan of the New World Order. Be advised: Born again Believers in Jesus Christ, and all Jews, are in now imminent danger in the UNITED STATES.

In the name of a "war on terror" the "shadow government", which includes operatives within (and without) D.H.S. and F.E.M.A., are working feverishly to execute "events" which will seem plausible, but which will lead to draconian laws being passed, such as the Patriot Acts. These laws were the result of the "scenario" cleverly executed against us on September 11, 2001. Another "attack" will most likely guarantee their extension by a "scared Congress".

The American people are so dumbed-down that they will believe any cock and bull story they hear on T.V. An example is the 1996 T.V. report by Tom Brokaw, wherein he stated at 6:30 p.m. that "...Twenty-five tons of high nitrate (bomb grade) fertilizer had been stolen from the farmer's coop in BRUCETON MILLS, WEST VIRGINIA".

The immediate FEAR mongering mindset they wanted to inject into the U.S. public is that there are at least 25 tons of bombs now hidden in the U.S.A. --- Oh, my goodness, Heaven help us, it is going to be the annihilation of our kids and wives.

Just like OKLAHOMA CITY in 1995. Folks, this is the "Hegelian Dialectic process" in action wherein the New World Order propaganda and "black operations" systems dupe and enslave us all.

Nevertheless, an A.N.F.O. [fertilizer-fuel oil] bomb will NOT cut reinforced concrete past 23 feet. So testified General Benton K. Partin, <u>a Defense Department Directed Energy Weapons Designer/Engineer,</u> before the 2nd OKLAHOMA CITY (county) grand jury; a jury which you NEVER heard about, thanks to a controlled press. The truck bomb was 35 feet from the Murrah Building. There is no way Tim McVeigh, alone, did that damage. The Creator's laws of physics prevent such from happening. To wit, the brisance wave is too slow from 35 feet away to cut reinforced concrete.

Now that you are plumb scared about the OKLAHOMA CITY "bomb" and the 25 tons of fertilizer being stolen, let us progress as your faithful retired J.C.S. Action Officer "inspector" goes to BRUCETON MILLS, WEST VIRGINIA, a few weeks later.

Since WEST VIRGINIA is my beat, I drove the 240 miles and showed the CO-OP employees my three federal I.D. cards. Within minutes two employees admitted it was actually a "book keeping error". No fertilizer was ever stolen.

Folks, this is how they work to scare the daylights out of you. It was all a lie to make you give up your rights, guns, and Bibles; and getting your guns and bibles is their final goal. Your ride to a concentration camp will follow shortly after the people lose their guns. Friend, do not argue with me. It is being planned as I type these very words.

A political assassination they are <u>now planning</u> will bring this to pass.

Maybe you have not yet connected what Belafonte said with what I have written above?

Harry Belafonte may be elderly and liberal but he has put two and two together over the last few years.

To wit, two once-Communist "head hunters": Yevgeni Primakov, ex-K.G.B. boss; and Marcus Wolf, ex-East German Secret Police [S.T.A.S.S.I.] Chief, are working in the employ of Michael Chertoff, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (D.H.S.).

Why? Federal employees take an oath to the Constitution and thus would not perform properly in such treasonous activities. Wake up Americans.

Are you getting the picture yet?

We have a "shadow government" running the country.

Belafonte is right and my Jewish friends should make aliyah to ISRAEL now.

Furthermore, their treason is revealed in the book, "America Sold Out: The coming persecution and complacency of the Church" by Ray Hope and myself; and the Prophecy Club videos "Straight from the Joint Chiefs", and "Black Operations and Prophecy", as well as the D.V.D. "I AM vs. the New World Order". Common Home Security Mistakes That You Can Avoid

Spending time in advance to think about ways to keep your home more secure is a wise investment in time and energy, as what could be more important than the physical safety of you and your family, and the protection of your home? Unfortunately, many often do not give much thought to home security measures and that just simply makes them and their home an appealing target for intruders. Here are some things that you can do to help safe up your home and avoid a home invasion in advance.

One of the most vulnerable times for burglarization is when you leave home for an extended period. It could be for a vacation or business or other matters, but if you will be away for a few days, make sure that your home does not appear to be unoccupied during that time. Neighbors, friends and relatives can be a big help by stopping by and checking on the home for you, picking up your mail and newspapers so they aren't left unattended and pile up outside. When burglars go through a neighborhood to select a home in advance, they are specifically looking for telltale signs of a home that is unoccupied. It means that their chances of breaking in and not being caught are much better. So do all that you can to give the appearance that you are still around even when you are away.

Another bad practice that many have is leaving notes on the front door while they are away, or putting out a blanket email to all of their contacts that says that they will be out of town during a certain period of time, or maybe even leaving a recorded message to that effect on the home answering machine. You should never announce your extended absense to anyone that you don't know very well as this can be a huge home security risk.

It's even a good idea to keep your daily schedule as varied as possible and somewhat of a secret even if you aren't away. Burglars look for clues that will tell them when you usually are not around, and that will be the time they select to break in. If you seem to come and go at random, unpredictable times though, that presents a much higher risk that they can be caught while the burglary is in progress.

Another home security risk presents itself evn when you are home. It has to do with who you allow inside your home. It is important to be careful not to allow entry inside the home to someone that you have not requested in advance. Oftentimes smart burglars can make it seem that they have been sent by the electric company or some other utility to take care of a problem in your home. Once inside they may distract you and steal something valuable, or just look the place over carefully in order to be abale to stage a successful burglary later on. So be sure to know the credentials of every person who enters your home and do not allow entry to anyone who can't prove that they have a good reason for being there.

These simple and efffective daily security precautions can be very effective in preventing burglary in advance.

Home Security How You Can Help the Police Before Your Property is Stolen.

Welcome back to part 7, if you have implemented the recommendations we have made so far you will have gone a long way toward protecting your home. Nobody can promise that you will not fall victim to a thief, so in this article I want to give you a few tips on how you can help the police retrieve your goods if it should be stolen.

Make an inventory of your property.

Keep a list of your processions in a secure place, perhaps in a safe deposit box or with a friend, this will help the police if you do have a burglary, and it will also help to support a claim if you have a house fire or some other kind of loss.

The better the job you do on the property inventory the more help it will be. Now that digital cameras are readily available take pictures of all the rooms in your home and their contents. In case of a loss by fire or flood etc. it will help you in your claim with your insurance provider.

On your property list, show, which room the goods, were in. Describe the article as fully as feasible; include the manufacturer model number, size, color, and the material the article is made of as well as its price. It is also a good idea to include damage marks, repairs, etc because these are unique to your things.

Mark your goods with your Post Code, your Drivers License Number or some other number that is exclusive to you but do not use your Social Security number! Properly marked property is hard for a burglar to sell on to someone else, and it makes it easier to trace them back to you.

Always mark your assets by engraving in an area that cannot be simply removed and is not in plain sight, if you cannot engrave the thing use a permanent marker or an ultra violet pen. Some items are not suitable for marking and this is where a digital or video camera comes into its own.

Now that you have a catalogue of your property make certain you keep it up to date!

Having marked your property make sure that any possible burglar knows about it, a small sticker displayed on doors and windows will do the job. These are generally available from your local police station or crime prevention officer.

Burglary is the most frequent form of theft in the United States; by marking your property you are taking an important step in protecting your home and avoiding the distress that this type of home invasion causes.

In the next part of this series I will be giving you a few dos and don'ts to help you with your personal and home security, see you soon.

Home Security Tips To Help Protect You And Your Family

Crime is unfortunately a part of life, and no matter where you live you can find yourself a victim of home intrusion. However, you can put into practice suggestions that can greatly reduce your odds of being the victim of an intruder. When it comes to home security, prevention is your strongest protection. So what are some ways to help secure your home now?

Well, one of the most vulnerable spots for intrusion in your home are the windows. It's amazing how many people leave them open, even when they are away from the home. Even if they are shut and locked, can the glass be easily broken? Some window glass is extremely hard and resistant to breaking, and it would be good to have that kind of glass in your windows. Also be sure to have locks on the windows so there can be no easy entry, and make sure that those locks are not picked easily as well.

If you have a glass door, this is a particularly vulnerable area and should contain reinforced hardened glass that is extremely difficult to break. The doors also should have locks that are secure and hard to pick.

One of the simplest and most effective home security options is to just have a dog as a pet. Especially a good watchdog. Burglars and intruders want to have an easy entry and exit, and dogs can foil all of that. An intruder also doesn't like to have attention brought to what they are doing by a dog's loud, incessant barking. And if the dog is big enough, they certainly don't want to get bitten. So a well-trained dog can be a real ally in protecting your home.

Having a home security system that is monitored by an outside service is another great idea. But it's even better to take it one step further and make sure that you have a backup power supply for the alarm, so if the electricity is cut off for any reason you can still activate the alarm and get law enforcement to your door quickly.

There are many other ways to improve home security but these ideas should be able to get you off to a good start on improving the security in and around your own home.

Jim Johnson writes on many consumer related topics including home security. You can find out more about home security alarms by visiting our Home Security Review website.
